Lifeguard
Classification: Part-time hourly
Reports to: Aquatics Manager
General Description:
Lifeguards receive free training, flexible scheduling, membership and program discounts, and a friendly work environment. This role under the supervision of the Aquatics Manager, will work to create a safe, fun, and wholesome environment for patrons to enjoy The Centre and The Corner Park. Employees must serve patrons with a friendly, helpful attitude, vigilantly monitor the pool and its guests, and enforce established rules, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the pool and its guests preventing actions that could lead to injury or destruction of equipment
- Professionally and politely enforce all Centre policies, procedures, and rules
- Serve patrons with a friendly smile and helpful attitude
- Record usage statistics
- Record pool chemical readings
- Teach group and private swim lessons as needed
- Attend and participate in regular in-service trainings
- Perform daily tasks and record on the daily task List
- Maintain a world-class pool environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A Christ-centered life and commitment to excellence
- A heart to serve patrons
- Lifeguarding experience preferred
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- WSI Certification preferred
