LIFT – A – MILLION
Lift-A-Million is back and better than ever! Your challenge over the official 6 week period is to lift, move, push or pull 1 million pounds! It sounds crazy, but using our simple formulas, you’ll be there before you know it!
Beginning May 1, Lift-A-Million lbs in six weeks! Start your individual or team challenge to cumulatively lift a million pounds by June 9! Example: 100 lbs. x 12 repetitions = 1,200 lbs. Then add up every set until it equals a Million! Do it yourself or as a team of up to 5 maximum!
Members 16 and over are on the honor system to keep track of total amount of weight lifted in their workouts and then record that weight on a designated tally card.
Body Weight – use body weight x reps x sets (crunches 1/3 body weight x reps x sets)
Weights/Machines – use weight x reps x sets
Unilateral – right side + left side = 1 rep (only count weight once)
Classes: Select classes will count toward your goal:
7,500 lbs. = Any X-Fit class, Boot Camp, Rush Hour
5,000 lbs. = Interval Training, Deep Water Aerobics, Muscle Max or FIT
Participants will receive a tech-shirt once they turn in their completed Lift-A-Million tally card by June 12th.
Entry Fees: Centre Members 16 and over: $20 includes tech-shirt
Centre Guests 16 and over: $30 includes tech-shirt (Guests must also pay any guest fees related to using The Centre facility or attending classes at The Centre)
Senior Boot Camp
This 6-week Senior Boot Camp class is designed to improve balance, stability, and prevent and reverse the effects of osteoporosis. Utilizing weight training to strengthen bones and muscles, agility and core strengthening exercises to improve balance and stability, and resistance exercises to improve range of motion and mobility; this program will improve your overall quality of life through the use of functional exercise methods.

Time: Tuesdays, 9:30 – 10:30 AM

Cost: $45 Member/ $75 Guest
