The 6th Annual Community Day 5K is back with a family focus! Runners can now chose between an individual 5K race, or a Family 5K— both events in the same race! Course is fairly flat and fast— contained within The Centre’s campus and Evergreen subdivision. Water stop halfway and refreshments at the end!

Individual 5K: 9:00am

Runners run race and are eligible for the following awards:

• Overall Male and Female Winners, Masters Male and Female winners, and Age Group Winners
• Age groups: 8 and under, 9-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60 and Over
• Short Sleeve tech shirts

Family Team 5K: 9:00am

• A “Family” consists of one adult (18 years  and older) and one child (14 and under). Both individuals run the race, but do not necessarily need to finish together.
• Family Teams must be indicated on the registration at the time of registration and cannot be switched thereafter.
• Family Team Awards consist of the following: Top Three Family teams: Adult Male and boy, Adult Male and girl, Adult Female and boy, and Adult Female and girl.
• Short Sleeve Tech Shirts

1/2 and 1 Mile Kid’s Runs: 9:45am

• Short Sleeve Shirt
• Choice of 1/2 or 1 mile run on LCS paved circle path
• Parents encouraged to run with smaller children
• Every runner (not already receiving a metal in previous race) receives an award!

The Community Day 5K course begins at the Centre, loops around the Lenawee Christian School elementary parking lot, and cuts across Wolf Creek Highway and loops in the nestled area of Evergreen subdivision. The course pops out near Wendy’s and back into the subdivision, back across Wolf Creek Highway to the perimeter of LCS playgrounds. The 5K course ends by the LCS small gazebos. The course is covered with helpful volunteers, two water stations, finish music, Centre Café food, and the activities of Community Celebration at the Centre.

The 1 mile and ½ mile Kid’s Run is held on the LCS walking path near the 5K finish.  All kids receive a finisher’s medal upon completion of their race.

5K Individual on or before July 11 – $25
5k Individual after July 11 – $30
5K Family on or before July 11 – $25 per person
5K Family after July 11 – $30 per person
1/2 mile or 1 mile kids run on or before July 11 – $12
1/2 mile or 1 mile kids run after July 11 – $15
